We have all been told at some point in our lives that stretching increases body dynamics such as flexibility, mobility and range of motion. That is just for starters. There are so many other health benefits to stretching such as intimate health, mental health and just overall health that you almost wonder how come people just don't do it every day. Easy one word LAZY. Not that a person is a lazy person in general. Stretching takes effort and time which all equals to extra WORK. Who wants to work more in a day than they have to?
Everyone should stretch. Regardless of body type, body size or age everyone should stretch. I was once told by a body builder that one should not stretch before a workout because it causes injury. Due to many of proven research whether in libraries, the world wide web, etc. this could be further from the exact facts. Many personal trainers will debate otherwise. Stretching before a workout or any activity (even if it's a long walk) has been proven to improve muscle elasticity and yes even to prevent injury. Stretch after a workout for an a much calmer recovery from an intense workout. You invest so much money in paying for a great workout why not invest time in muscle maintenance?
Muscle maintenance and pain relief are key components with Staple Therapeutics. We incorporate both passive and active stretching on different levels in all of our massages. We even educate our clients on safe stretching between massage sessions.
